Alpaca, Fresco, and Plain Weave Fabrics hakkında
Alpaca, fresco, and plain weave; these are terms that describe the same fabric family in the workwear sector in Turkey. They are produced by weaving polyester-viscose (polyviscose) yarns in a plain weave.
▎
▎ What the terms mean
▎ - Plain weave (bezayağı): The most basic weaving structure where the warp and weft yarns cross each other one by one. It is the name of the weave structure, not a fiber.
▎ - Fresco: A stiff-feeling and lightweight fabric obtained by loosely weaving high-twist yarns in a plain weave.
▎ - Alpaca: A trade name used for polyviscose uniform fabric in the workwear industry; it has no relation to the fiber of the alpaca animal.
