About Us
Our journey started in the beginning of 1900s with the profession of peddler, from which we took our surname, in Antalya with the fabric trade has turned into a family tradition over the years. This effort, which has been passed down from generation to generation since those days, has enabled us to become a brand that is known and trusted in every corner of Türkiye today.
In the early days, we started by delivering the fabrics that people needed to even the most remote villages of Antalya. Over time, we have become not just a trade, but a brand that has a place in everyone's life and that everyone shares a memory with in a corner of their home, from clothing to home textiles. Thanks to the warmth and trust that comes to mind when Çerçiler Fabric is mentioned, today, we are happy to add value to businesses and organizations throughout Turkey and the world from Antalya. We continue to inspire everyone, from amateur sewers at home to professional designers.
We do not only sell fabrics; every piece we weave carries a story, a tradition. Our History
Early 1900s
The First "Çerçi"
The roots of our commercial history go back to the years when our grandfather, 'Naneci Dede' Mehmet Çerçiler, sold salep and mint juice on the streets of Antalya with a jug he carried on his back. With the recognition he gained in this profession, Antalya families would knock on his door when naming their children. Later, when he started selling peddler products on his stall, he became the symbol of trade and trust. His mobile and honest trading approach formed the basis of the surname and brand "Çerçiler".

The First Drapery
Hasan Çerçiler became the second generation to continue his father’s tradition of mobile peddling. He started the era of drapery-based peddling by selling calico, flannel and calico fabrics purchased with coupons from Sümerbank to the villagers. He loaded the bales of fabric onto horses and traveled to all the villages from Serik to Karaöz with his son. Payments were not only in cash but also in barter with products such as sesame, wheat, goat, oil and leather, so that fabric would definitely enter every home. During these years, the name Çerçiler became not only a trade name but also a name that provided solutions to difficulties and shared the villagers’ troubles.

First Shop
In 1944, the first shop was opened opposite the Ayanağa Mosque, where today’s Topçu Kebap is located. This shop, rented from foundations, was the first place where the Çerçiler family made the transition from mobile peddling to fixed trade. Advance payments were made to villagers who could not find money for seeds, and payment was received after the crop was harvested. Especially the red-barred cotton and silk blended “çitari” fabric was indispensable for wedding shopping. Üçetekçi tailors were employed upon request, and special orders embroidered with gold thread were prepared. Silk and gold thread “meydani” fabrics began to decorate the Çerçiler shop windows during this period. Thus, a place emerged where Antalya residents could go with confidence for all their fabric needs and find the answer to everything they were looking for.

First Wholesale Sales
In 1962, the Çerçiler brand moved to its new location in Kışla Han. The economic activity that began after the National Protection Law played a major role in the background of this transition. During this period, the family made a serious breakthrough not only in retail but also in wholesale fabric sales. Especially with Mensucat Santral products, basic needs such as flannel, calico, calico, and sheet fabrics were delivered to both the public and small tradesmen. Kışla Han was not just a workplace, but a trade ecosystem. Çerçiler positioned itself within this liveliness, and strengthened itself even more with both its product variety and the connection it established with the neighborhood. This period was the years when the Çerçiler name became a trusted brand not only in villages but also among city tradesmen.

Transition to Modern Fabrics
Haluk Çerçiler started learning fabric making by working at the shop on İnönü Street 2 (now 1st Street) with his father Ahmet Çerçiler. However, he believed early on that this business should not be limited to folk fabrics only. He opened his own shop on the same street shortly afterwards. Thus, father and son continued on their paths in solidarity but with different visions. This was the period when the innovative spirit of the Çerçiler brand became evident. Haluk Çerçiler brought the fabric perspective to a more up-to-date level and brought the fabric catalogs, types and patterns from abroad to Antalya and presented them. With this move, he became the first person to bring the quality and style of Italian and French fabrics to the Antalya market. Now, Çerçiler Kumaş was turning into an address where fashion-oriented fabrics were brought to the showcases and appealed to tasteful customers. This step was the first bold step of a brand that transformed without breaking away from tradition, extending from the local to the global.

Tradition Carried to Government Street
In 2000, Haluk Çerçiler opened the doors of a new four-story store on Hükümet Caddesi with his father Ahmet Çerçiler. This store was not only a physical expansion, but also the biggest step in the institutionalization process of the Çerçiler brand. During this period, Çerçiler Kumaş continued to bring different textures, trends and styles from many countries abroad to Antalya. Thanks to this global approach, Çerçiler stores began to host not only needs but also professional customers looking for aesthetics and quality. Over the years: Fancy fabrics special to five-star hotels in Antalya, Flashy, eye-catching fabrics for organizations and stage costumes, Original and impressive textures needed by the art community from theater to ballet, from cinema to concert stage, Innovative textures that will inspire fashion designers were offered. Today, Çerçiler Kumaş is not just a business that sells fabrics; it is “a brand that tells the story of fabrics”. Without forgetting its roots, it maintains its privileged place in Antalya’s commercial and cultural memory by renewing itself with each generation.
