Jacket and coat fabrics are heavy-weight, shape-retaining fabrics suitable for sewing coats, jackets, trench coats, and overcoats in men's and women's outerwear. Cashmere, woolen, gabardine, and melton are the main types in this category.

Jacket and coat fabrics, produced in a weight range of 300–600 g/m², meet the needs for protection against cold, aesthetic appearance, and long-lasting use. Their shape and thermal performance can be enhanced by supporting them with lining.
