Brocade fabric is a type of jacquard woven fabric known for its rich and showy texture with embossed patterns on its surface. It is usually produced using a combination of silk, viscose, polyester, or metallic yarns.
The most distinctive feature of the fabric is that the patterns are created by the threads during weaving — that is, the patterns are not printed afterwards, but are directly woven into the fabric's structure. This is the most important difference that distinguishes brocade from ordinary fabrics.

Properties of Brocade Fabric

It has an embossed woven structure; patterns are created on the surface of the fabric through weaving.

It is sturdy and durable, does not wrinkle easily, and retains its shape for a long time.

It has a shimmering appearance thanks to shiny yarns (especially metallic or glittery yarns).

It offers a rich variety of patterns: floral, baroque, geometric and classical motifs are frequently used.

It has a heavy weight, which gives it a flowing and voluminous drape.

Since it is a 100% natural fabric, it may shrink, attention should be paid to the first wash. If possible, the first wash should be done before sewing.

Since it is a natural fabric, it wrinkles especially after washing. Although it does not wrinkle as much as Linen in daily use, it will wrinkle enough to require ironing again when taken out of the suitcase.

Not Suitable for Dryer

It should not be machine washed; it should be hand washed.

Bleach Should Not Be Used

Without direct contact with the fabric, the iron can be ironed on cotton using the "Silk" setting.

Light colors may require lining as they will be slightly see-through. Voile lining can be used as lining.

Delivery

Your order will be delivered to you within 4 business days at the latest through our contracted cargo companies. If your order is under 2000 TL, the shipping fee will appear on the payment page, shipping is free for purchases over 2000 TL.

Return policy

Fabrics ordered under 20 meters cannot be returned as they are cut specifically for you and their resalability is impaired. Returns are accepted in case of a defect in the product.
